What are the best dvd authoring and burning software, regardless of price?

Published by admin in category Stock Market Software | 3 Comments

The most top notch program out there, with the most freedom with what you do with your menus, buttons, scene selection, etc. With the ability to put up any background, still image or motion picture, to the menus with your own selection of menu audio, with the ability to put subtitles and perhaps an alternate audio track to your DVD’s.

I’d like a list of price and quality comparison of different softwares. I’m through with the free stuff. show me the best stuff out there. What’s the most expensive, is it worth it, and what is a good trade off for another software? What are the pros and cons?

Thank you for your answer, and REALLY think about it before clicking "submit."

I am onlly familiar with WMM and Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder
I think movie maker is the best free movie making software.
If you are looking for more advanced and professioanl but still user friendly software, i will recommend DVD Slideshow Builder for the motion DVD templates and the 3D transition effects, which makes it a worthy tool.

    In the opinion of some:

    1. Sonic Scenarist
    2. Adobe Encore
    3. DVD Lab Pro

I believe all three will let you do what you mentioned, but the learning curve can be steep. Personally I found Encore to be a piece of junk (you have to design your menu from scratch in Photoshop and import all the layers into Encore). I found DVD Lab to be a bit more reliable though the older version I used had a few bugs. It also never came with templates which again means you have to design everything from scratch. I don’t know if they’ve added any with the new version. DVD Lab is the one I’ve used the most for designing menus from the ground up.

I haven’t tried Scenarist, though from the screenshots, it looks similar to DVD Lab Pro.

I am personally trying to find something in the middle of the road – plenty of templates to edit so I don’t have to design a menu every single time, but with a million options like the ability to add subtitles, different audio tracks, etc.

I just tried Corel DVD MovieFactory Pro which again turned out to be frustrating junk. It just keeps looping my video clips without going back to the main menu after each one. I couldn’t find an option to turn this off.

If you want to convert files to DVD, then play well on home DVD player, you can try Total Video2Dvd, It can “Auto Convert and Burn MKV, Blu-ray TS, M2TS, AVCHD MTS, HDV1080i, Divx, Rm, Wmv, Avi to DVD Video Disc directly.”
Work well on my computer, good quality, easy to use:
