I’m a 15 year old that currently holds a blogging position that pays around -10 an hour. Over the last year the stock market has interested me greatly and I would like to join it. I had wanted to do something similar back in September of 2008. I got cold feet however and didn’t do anything. My dad is willing to help support my ambition with more capital. I have around 0 myself with the possibility of making or so a week and my dad would contribute 0-200.

In short I’d most likely have around 0 to start.

Goals:

1 Year Goal- ,200 Net Worth by June of 2010.
4 Year Goal- ,000 Net Worth by Graduation in 2013.
8 Year Goal-,000 Net Worth by Graduation of College.

These figures are just goals that I hope to make. I would love much more to make hundreds of thousands, but I know that isn’t possible without luck and a lot of work.

I’ve studied the market, read books, gotten reviews on online brokers, and learned what I could about the market. I think I still have more learning to do, but I understand the basics of rolling stocks, stocks, and call/put options.

I want to know if options are even a plausible investment for me or if I should invest in a Mutual Fund or Stocks?

(I have studied options quite a bit and I understand they are very very risky. Probably not for a beginning investor? I know a good chunk on calls/puts and covered calls. Should I even consider this?)

(Rolling Stocks or the old "Buy Low, Sell High" Is it still working these days and possible for a new investor?)

Can I make a profit at all with a 0-500 Capital Base?

What Online Broker is the best for cheap commissions, but can execute quickly and has Customer Service and a nice interface?

If anyone can help me out it’d be greatly appreciated!

I know so many questions, but I really need some final guidance.

You see these places like TD Ameritrade, Scottrade, E-Trade and Datek Online…. They all seem pretty reputable, but I don’t want to have to pay - 15 every time I want to trade a stock. Especially since (in the beginning at least) I’m only going to be buying or selling one to ten shares at a time.

Buy two shares of a stock and pay commission to do so? No thank you.

I’ve heard a little about independent online investing, but I can’t make up my mind as to which service I should use.

I’m basically looking for something with a low commission rate, quick execution of purchases and sell, and great researching capabilities/software. I am very acquainted with dealing with brokers, but unfortunately their commissions are WAAY too high, and sometimes they are prone to forget about orders as well as recommend stocks that don’t perform.

The invention of the Internet has brought about many changes in the way that we conduct our lives and our personal business. We can pay our bills online, shop online, bank online, and even date online!

We can even buy and sell stocks online. Traders love having the ability to look at their accounts whenever they want to, and brokers like having the ability to take orders over the Internet, as opposed to the telephone.
Most brokers and brokerage houses now offer day online trading to their clients. Another great thing about trading online is that fees and commissions are often lower.

While online trading is great, there are some drawbacks. If you are new to investing, having the ability to actually speak with a broker can be quite beneficial. If you aren’t stock market savvy, online trading may be a dangerous thing for you. If this is the case, make sure that you learn as much as you can about trading stocks before you start trading online.

You should also be aware that you don’t have a computer with Internet access attached to you. You won’t always have the ability to get online to make a trade. You need to be sure that you can call and speak with a broker if this is the case, using the online broker. This is true whether you are an advanced trader or a beginner.

It is also a good idea to go with an online brokerage company that has been around for a while. You won’t find one that has been in business for fifty years of course, but you can find a company that has been in business that long and now offers online trading.

Again, online trading is a beautiful thing – but it isn’t for everyone. Think carefully before you decide to do your trading online, and make sure that you really know what you are doing!

I have been investing in the stock market for several years, but recently Forex has caught my eye with claims of huge profits, and I have some questions:

1. Is there a site with free tutorials about Forex, the same way Investopedia.com has for stocks? Is there a Forex simulator where I can try it out using fake money?

2. What kind of initial investment does Forex require? What are the commissions/fees like if any? What is the average return (%) for most Forex investors?

3. Where/how do you open up an account? (I’m Canadian.)

4. Is it a lot more speculative/luck-based than the stock market? (A lot higher risk?)

5. I’ve heard a lot of people talking about "systems", "software", etc that they are charging money for. Is there any free software I can get? Are most of the people involved with Forex scam artists or are there some legitimate ones?
