How money will I need to start day trading.?

Hey, I know this question depends on opinions, and even though I tried searching online for articles about it, I can’t seem to find an answer.
If I plan to start day trading, what’s the minimum amount of equity should I have? I mean by day trading, in my case, doing 3 to 5 orders per day.

It’s totally depends on U. If you have small amount of money, then, try to find the trading company which require minimum deposit whatever amount ask for. In my personal experiences, they require minimum $500 for starting.

it is all depends upon your credit worthiness - relationship what you maintain with your stock broker.
with stop loss — minimum margin money what your broker will need is 10% (ten per cent) of your value you buy or sell (i.e. go short) - for doing day trading.
if you want to to do 3 to 5 orders a day - wisest thing is to do one at a time - 2nd one after closing 1st transaction — this way you can understand the trend - and there are ways to win.
DAY TRADING IS VERY RISKY - ESPECIALLY DURING BEAR (PRESENT) MARKET.

Because of the high risk involved with day trading, it is a FINRA regulation that you must have a minimum balance of $25,000.00 if you are a day trader. You can’t get around that. You could open an account normally, but once your trading activity meets the requirements to be a day trader, then your broker will act appropriately.

If you have not been investing or trading for some gaining experience you would be very foolish to start in day trading.
First you need to have the resources to day, you shousld be familiar with money management and have a trading plan in place.
Swaminather P gave some incorrect advice in their response. All brokers must follow the same rules for prodcessing day trading accounts some may make those more stingent than others.
JAME C was right on - you must have a margin account (although trades need not be done in the acct), since by law all purchases must be paid in full or covered before they can be sold (no free riding). The margin requirement is that you must MAINTAIN equity of $25,000 at all times.
