Hi, I’m new to the stock market and am looking to open a trading account online. I am planning to buy stocks in ATVI TTWO and ERTS. Those are gaming companies and thats what i know so i feel safe in investing in them. My Question is what is the cheapest broker site i can choose for this? I only plan on buying the 3 stocks and then selling them later so i am looking for something with no monthly fees, and has the cheapest prices for my 6 total trades (3 buying then 3 selling). I only plan on investing 0 by the way as this is a learning experience for me.
I found Zecco, is that good or is there anything cheaper than .50 per trade that has those 3 stocks available?
I have looked at e-trade and i don’t care for their .99 per trade. I only plan on buying 3 stocks so i don’t need their extra features.
I also found SOGOTRADE. Are there any hidden fees or subscriptions there? Or is it just dollars per trade like it looks?
So the only fees on tradeking are the dollars for buying then selling?
What is 65cents per option contract?

I asked the same question not so long ago and I found my perfect online broker. unlike etrade, sogo and the rest, this broker offers amazing deals.
Scottrade.com!
Why do I love them?
UNLIKE sogo and etrade and all, you dont need to trade a minimum of stocks per quarter to avoid like a 50 dollar fee! so buy low, forget about them, and sell high later! and at 7 bucks a trade its great! sogo has many hidden fees and things to bite you.
you plan on buying 3 stocks? 3 different kinds? if so, i have even better news

at scottrade.com when signing up you get 3 free trades! (so 3 free trade orders, for example I bought 300 MSFT so then I had 2 free trade orders left) so when I sell its pure profit!
Im 100% sure youll love scottrade, I started out on etrade, bad choice, they even charge closing costs! When i went to scottrade it was just perfect.
so buddy if you need any help or ideas or anything, send me an email jameson@tech-45.com
good luck! ;D

I have found eTrade to be very reliable and secure. They do have a fee along with a trading purchase but it is fairly low. They also have other options for your money, such as a savings account that pays interest.
Suze Orman has a new book out regarding what to do with your money in 2009. It’s about $7 at Target. She also suggests buying stocks that pay you dividends.
Hope this helps.

yes, there is cheaper firm. i am using sogotrade. Personally, I think Sogotrade is best among all online brokerages. You can get a lot of free trades: about 100 free trades with 500 minimum deposits. It has very good customer services, it also has live help, and you can chat with representatives about any question. After that, only 3 dollar for each trade, pretty sweet when compared with other online brokerages.

I like Tradeking.com. It’s 4.99 per trade, no monthly fees or any of that crap. Your deposit is insured up to 10 million dollars. Check it out.

Tradeking.com is the one you’ll be happiest with.
BTW, ATVI is technically ready to give you some money but be ready to hit the sell button within a couple of weeks…take profits and buy back in later.
