Am I better to trade forex using the normal way or by using CFDs (Contracts For Difference)? Please advise?
I am going to be 18 in 6 days and I want to become a forex trader for my favourite currency pair; GBP/USD. I already have an ordinary forex trading practice account with leverage and stop-orders and take-profits and things. I have also looked into other options such as using CFDs (Contracts for Differences) to trade the currency pair with. I feel that using CFDs would be more interesting than using normal forex trading, and I could trade stocks with them at the same time as well. What would you suggest out of the two here? Would I be more liquid using ordinary forex trading than using CFDs? Which is better would you say?

Yes with CFDs you can trade also on stocks and indexes but in my opinion it is better to start with Forex. You can try with the platform I gave you in the answer to your first question.
Personally I have tried CFDs but I prefer Forex.
PS: My favourite pair is GBP/JPY but it’s too volatile
Whether you trade cfds or forex the spreads are practically the same. CFDs probably provide you with better leverage and some are able to offer you ‘trading on credit’ - this is where you don’t have to make any upfront deposit to start trading. Also, as you said you are able to trade forex, stocks, commodities, options..etc with most CFD brokers and I find this preferable to just forex trading.
The real difference is between trading forex the traditional way and trading it through spread betting; spread betting being the equivalent of CFDs in the UK but allows for tax free gains. If you are in the UK you should definitely go for a spread betting account as opposed to forex trading.
